General
1. Smart DBS sign up entitles you to
a. Smart DBS API
b. Technical assistance from our dedicated expertise
c. To board 5 units ZKTeco devices on our Smart DBS IoT server for 12 months.
2. The Smart DBS account also entitles you to onboard all ZKTeco terminals for 30 days free of charge. Once the 30-day free period ends, and you will be charged for the monthly subscription fees automatically. To avoid being charged for the subscription, please cancel the invoice before the end of the free period in your Smart DBS account.
Terminal Data and Storage
1. Smart DBS can store data to a maximum of 15-month only.
2. Smart DBS stores data from the connected ZKTeco terminals and the data is exportable only in raw format. No alterations or modifications of data is allowed.
3. The data from Smart DBS can be exported to the ZKTeco software and your own cloud solutions through the provided tool available in Smart DBS.
4. ZKTeco takes all appropriate measures to ensure proper and secure data storage but assumes no liability for any missing data from Smart DBS.
5. ZKTeco treats all data in Smart DBS as confidential and solely owned by the account holder and will not manipulate or use the data stored in Smart DBS for other purposes.
6. ZKTeco provides all the necessary precaution to prevent users from selecting the wrong time zone, hence assumes no liability for any faulty data caused by error in time zone selection.
7. Smart DBS access and usage are applicable to the supported models only. DO NOT connect any other non-supported models to Smart DBS to avoid complications.
Subscription
1. Smart DBS subscription is charged based on the quantity of terminal licenses monthly. Please refer to the Smart DBS subscription pricing here.
2. By submitting your payment details, referred to as Payment Method at the registration form, you have provided us with consent to use your details and agreed to the monthly subscription charges starting at the end of the free trial period. Unless you cancel your membership before your monthly billing date, you have automatically authorized us to charge your next month's subscription fee to your credit card.
3. You can change your Payment Method by login to Smart DBS website and clicking on the "My Account" link.
4. If a payment is not successfully settled, due to expiration, insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not change your Payment Method or cancel your account, we may suspend your access to the service until we have obtained a valid Payment Method.
5. When you update your Payment Method, you authorize us to continue charging the updated Payment Method and you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts. This may result in a change to your payment dates.
6. For some Payment Methods, the issuer may charge you certain fees, such as foreign transaction fees or other fees relating to the processing of your Payment Method. Local tax charges may vary depending on the Payment Method used. Check with your Payment Method service provider for details.
Cancellation
1. You can unsubscribe any particular terminals at any time. Subscription cancellation of any terminals will terminate all data storage of that particular terminals and ZKTeco assumes no responsibility for any data loss caused by subscription termination or cancellation. To the extent permitted by the applicable law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial-month membership periods. To cancel, go to the "Your Account" page and follow the instructions for cancellation.
2. Account cancellation or termination that is made on the account's expiry date is entitled to a two-week grace period for the owner to manage data exportation out of Smart DBS. The responsibility to transport the data out of Smart DBS is solely the owner's.
3. For membership cancellation, no monetary refund is available for Smart DBS account cancellation or termination.
